Honda Civic Hybrid Is The AJAC 2025 Canadian Car of the Year Award
The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) has named the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid, the electrified version of Canada's top-selling compact car, as the 2025 Canadian Car of the Year. Honda Canada is delighted with this recognition.
The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid, available as a sedan or hatchback, leads the refreshed Civic lineup, delivering both a fun driving experience and the efficiency of Honda's two-motor hybrid system. Boasting an impressive 200 horsepower and 232 lb.-ft. of torque, it is the most powerful non-Type R Civic to date.
“We remain impressed and humbled at the awards and accolades the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is receiving, these distinctions are a result of our hardworking engineers and talented associates at Honda of Canada Mfg. who design and build the Civic,” said Emile Korkor, Assistant Vice President of Honda Canada. “The quality, reliability and popularity of our hybrid vehicles bodes well for the future of our brand as we continue to further electrify our models. We want to thank AJAC for this prestigious award and our Canadian customers for making Civic Canada’s bestselling car.”
The Civic Hybrid has won numerous awards, including the 2025 Canadian Car of the Year, 2025 North American Car of the Year, 2025 Car and Driver 10 Best Award, and AutoTrader's 2025 Best Overall and Best Small Car Award. These awards highlight the Civic's continued success as Honda's longest-running automotive nameplate.
