Summer is time spent outside getting chores done, playing sports and of course, swimming in the pool. There is no lack of choices here in Toronto and our #FormulaHonda of Toronto staff knows the best spots to choose from. This is an especially important list as the Toronto Islands beaches are indefinitely closed from flooding.
High Park Outdoor Pool
Located at 1873 Bloor Street West, High Park Pool is one of the go-to’s in the city of Toronto. It features a giant waterslide that will keep entertained for hours. You can also other attractions such as Grenadier Pond and High Park Zoo, meeting the infamous capybaras. For exercise, you’ll want to go on our walking trails that swerve through the woods.
Monarch Park Outdoor Pool
At 15 Felstead Avenue, Monarch park’s outdoor swimming pool is 25 meters long with a diving area, raised seating section and a two story water slide. For smaller children, there is a wading pool for them to play in. Swimming lessons are offered for all ages for those who want to learn.
Donald D Summerville Pool
This Olympic-sized pool is located at Woodbine Park with a view of the beaches. The pool ranges at 50 meters long with a 25 meter training pool and a separate diving pool. It is located at 1867 Lake Shore Boulevard East.
Alex Duff Memorial Pool
At the edge of Christie Pits Park, this outdoor pool is a 25 meter lap pool. It also has a shallow splash pool for children, a conversation pool and deep pool for diving that hosts a two story water slide. The conversation pool has a great view of the park’s baseball field, letting you soak in the game as well as the sun. You’ll find this pool at 779 Crawford Street.
