2017 Honda Civic ReviewMar 27th, 2017
If you are looking for a compact sedan, then the Honda Civic is definitely an option for you to consider. The Civic has been known for being a practical, economical and dependable sedan that is priced at an affordable range. Because it is so good overall, it is one of the best selling cars in history and a standard for its class.
The 2017 Honda Civic has been completely redesigned, riding on Honda’s brand new Compact Global Platform. The exterior design is a sleek, fast look that is highlighted by sharp character lines. Its interior is made from good quality materials that have a soft touch. Standard cloth seats are very comfortable and the cockpit has plenty of room for legs and knees while driving. The back seat also features plenty of space for a compact vehicle.
The biggest changes happened under the hood. There are two new engines, the base 2.0-liter, four-cylinder that produces 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque and a 1.5-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder with 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. Both of these engines send their power through the front wheels. The silky-smooth continuously variable transmission (CVT) helps move the power smoothly throughout the vehicle, as does the optional six-speed manual. The 2.0-liter engine will hit 60 miles per hour in 8.2 seconds, which is competitive for its class. The 1.5-liter turbocharged motor will reach 60 in under 7 seconds, quicker than most vehicles in its class.
With these upgrades and recent return to form for the Honda Civic, it is well worth a look in the sedan class.
